Torps Will Not Load
Running GW Mod with Commander. All patches installed per instructions.
Torps will Not Load Type 11 sub, Sept 1939 Sunk one merchant, used two torps, shot at another, missed and lost target advantage. I only have three torps left and they will not load. I did a search and found the suggested fix posted by U-Bones. I applied the fix per his instructions. Still cannot get the crew to load Torps. Silent running .....OFF Auto Load...........Checked I tried moving the torps with mouse into tube slot. Will not start load. Moved crew out of the compartment and returned them. No help there. Crew consists of 1 officer, 9 warrant officers, 1 seaman. I tried all the warrant officers to try and raise the green bar. The green bar is NOT at 50 percent even with all the officers. I think I did everything I found on the search answers. Did I miss something? Thanks for any help. |
make sure the crew is rested

It's a Type II
Roman Numbers are used in a different way then ours. II is not 2 time I (11), but it's 2! EDIT: If you are using 24h fatique mod in GW, you need to download a FIX for basic.cfg. I belive it is found on the first page, of their thread in the Mod SubForum! |
Is any of that crew qualified as a "torpedoman".
Putting an officer in the torpedo room with that qualification makes a BIG difference. |
Notice the green bar on top of the room if it is low then the skill of the crew is to low. Like the other guy said add an oficer or try diferent crew members to increase the crews skill. As you crew increases in skill this seams to be less of a problem.

Try hitting "Z" twice to go to silent running and then back out of it. I think I remember reading somewhere that there was a bug regarding this and doing that was the fix that was suggested.

I've had to load up the forward torp compartment, even taking a crewman or two from the watch or elsewhere to get the green bar high up enough to reload before. That first patrol in a II means you're pretty hard-up for available hands to do everything well.

First, let me say thanks for the suggestions. I'm such a bone head.:damn: I remembered I had read somewhere that there was an update for the GW24 hour fatigue setting. (Thanks Respenus) I had downloaded the fix and had never made the change.
I rolled back with Commander, installed the fix and now all is well. Thanks again guys, great to have a community to draw help from. |
