Mission Idea: Wondering if you guys would like/play it
The mission Idea: The Cuban Missile Crisis.
Heres the breffing of it. On Oct. 1 1962 four "Foxtrot" Class Desile subs cairring nuclear tiped torpedos left The Soviet Union for Cuba with the Rules of Engagment "Once your face has been slaped, don't let them hit your face one more time". A scary thought since these where the RoE for the Atomic torpedos, any of the subs could of launced one and started what would of proved to be the most deadly war of mankind. Luckly all four of them where turned back without firing a shot, although one sub almost did.. This mission is a historicaly based 'WHAT IF?" mission. What if one of thoes four Foxtrots had fired a atomic fish? This mission emfasizes that. But would you guys like/play it? |
In SHIII? If sould someone make a nuclear mod, oh yeah....

Interesting idea... we would play on the side of the Bear?
But whait, the type XXI is still a torpedoe platform... how bould the nukes fit in? |
There is already is a nucler torpedo mod out there somewhere. It kills everything with one shot!
Taking out a battleship with 20mm AA gun, now that would be something. Foxtrot subs were conventional powered subs, but could have nuclear weapons aboard. |
Dos any one listin I said they where caring Nuclear tiped torpedos. A real wepon.

The T-5 Nuclear tiped torpedo caried a 10 kiloton nuclear warhead. The Torpedo was desinged to takeout the center of a Cairer tacktorce(where the cairer would be) The torpedo had a range of 12 kilometers(at least that was the range that it was fired during testing).
You will have to scrol down to almost the botom of the page. http://www.nti.org/db/nisprofs/russi...s/slbmtabl.htm |
