End of the Patrol ???
 

Probably a dumb 'Q', but I sure can't find an answer. In the Campaign, how does a patrol end? With me back at port, backed in and tied up ??? I'm almost there, from my First Patrol and sure need to know !!

Once you get within about 30 km of your home base, select "End Patrol" from the pause menu. You should see the option to "Dock at: (name of your home base)". Select this and you're done. You don't need to steer all the way back into the sub pen.

If you go to the pause option and you see "Return to Base" after selecting "End Patrol" that means you're not close enough to get the (small) renown bonus for making it all the way home. You're free to select that option and forego the renown bonus, though. Both options bring you to the same screen. The only difference is the renown.

Thanks... I appreciate your time and trouble. It wasn't a very 'educational' patrol. Only one ship... out some 250 KM and I couldn't even intercept her... but... I know from experience that there are no traffic jams on the High Seas. Next time, more 'learning'...!!

OOOOPS ! *What* ..'pause menu' ?? I see nothing when in Pause. I do note that when I hit Esc... the game pauses and up comes the menu of things, including Continue, Save.... etc. That what you mean ???
