Something that deserves mention
 

The game is impressively detailed, and the only thing that bums me out about it is that there are all these awesome ships and planes out there, but I'm stuck in my submarine. Maybe in the expansions, instead of bastardizing existing mods they could add mods to allow you to be a Destroyer or anti-sub plane or something.

Hrmmm... Your thinking of a different game.

Dangerous waters is pretty good. Not as pretty graphics but has multiple platforms.

Players were waiting Ubi to announce Destroyer Command 2, which was the case with SHII. But since there is SHIV coming we can rule that one out.

With knowledge the community has atm, there is no way to make functional playable ships for SHIII.

Nah, you bought a sub game, you play a sub game. Including the possibility to steer every available ship within the game would either end in a game playable only on the superduper PCs or with such limited content that it would rather be a shallow action game.

Quoted for truth. While it would be fun, it's not what the game is about. I don't go to a steakhouse and complain that they don't have pizza. ;)
