Promotion?
 

Currently (12.10.1939) I am a Leutnant and commander of U-5 (Typ IIA) and I wonder if you guys know how much renown I've got to get to be promoted to Oberleutnant. I hope you can help me!

I think with GW you hit Leutnant Sr when you get 5000 renown which given the time and your boat you would have sink the 5 King George's each with only one hit which without a torpedo mod is close to impossible.

So 5000 it is? Just to let you know: I don't use the GW mod, but SH3 Commander and SH3 Gen. If you are interested: I did 3 war patrols and sunk 4 merchants and 1 destroyer (about 15000 tons).:lol:

"For your first promotion, you'll need to accumulate 5,000 renown. Your next promotion comes at 15,000 renown and the third promotion comes at 25,000 renown. The renown needed for a promotion is not the cumulative renown you've gathered through your career, but rather your current amount of renown.

The order of ranks are:

• Leutnant z. S.
• Oberleutnant z. S.
• Kapitänleutnant
• Korvettenkapitän
• Fregattenkapitän
• Kapitän z. S."
