You know you've all got one. Admit it. You picked up a comic at one point in your life, and thought "Whoa, I like this guy"

I'm ashamed to admit its taken me 17 years to become interested in Marvel, but I've become hooked after seeing the Punisher movie. I'd never read any of the comics, so I decided to hunt some down and give them a read afterwards, and I was impressed how the film kept to the whole atmosphere of the comic.

I have a collection of comics running into the thousands, with over 40 boxes full now. I grew up watching George Reeves play Superman on TV in the '50s, and I have to admit he's my all-time favorite. I'm mostly DC-oriented, but my Marvel-phile friends keep me up to date on what's happening in their universe.

When we used to play superheroes in the school playground (30 years ago - ouch) I always played as this guy:

Mine is Wolverine but I only know a few of them.

My first hero was Batman, in 1964. But in 65 I started reading Spidey (issue 31) and I was hooked. From them on it was Make Mine Marvel:up:

I also liked Capt. America, Silver Surfer, DD, Submariner, and Iron Man. I remember when the original X-Men issues came out and completely flopped. What a surprise years later when I heard a mvie was coming out called X-men... I thought, "What? That series never got popular enough for a movie... it was cancelled in the 60's... :rotfl:

Lol, I have the issue of Spider-man when Punny made his first ever appearance! Issue 129 :)
