Virtual Enigma machine

Is what I think the following is:

http://enigmaco.de/enigma/enigma.swf

Btw, in a somewhat related subject: if you
submit a patrol report in SH3 during the
period when the British were decoding
Enigma traffic, is there an impact in the game?

Also, I thought that Doenitz required u-boats to
report in their positions, etc., on a daily basis. Is
this modeled in the game w/all that implies?

Try to copy and paste this into the top field of the "enigma"....

No no no...it's:

EDIT: btw, I once got this little booklet from the National Cryptologic Museum (next to the NSA campus at Ft. Meade, MD) which explained the mathematical implications of the Enigma machine. They really had to whip out the scientific notation for THAT!!!!

I also got a vivid NSA tye-dye, which I just thought was too cool in a number of ways.

FURTHER EDIT: oh, you can reset the virtual wheels and plugs just like in real life.

YET A FURTHER EDIT: click first rotor counter clockwise once, 2nd clockwise twice, and third counterclockwise three times. Match low A plug w/upper Z plug, lower B w/upper Y, and lower C and upper X, and input the following: GGQFYUUOZERQSRUFOIRBCCLEXLZRLGDHUTMEUCWZGQBXMWFQYA VMTQIUSIBUFTXUFSLDGB

Wow, this thing was really complex, and that's only the 3 rotor version!! What really suprised me is when I typed in "THISISCOOLCOOLCOOL" the three "COOL"s were all encoded differently!

Yeah, its a nice gadget! I think the "cool" thing has to do with the numbering of the letters in the sentence or something.... please correct me if im wrong, anyone. I'm gonna code all my orders from now on, even when im posting patrol reports... !!!!!!

How do I do that?I don't understand the upper or low plug, I only can move one plug or part.

By the thread, I have a program very cool installed, its a Enigma machime - and we can do every thing, like this one,but there see the machine and interact with it.

I did everything you said, but I came out with gobbledygook: YZXXSEFBOWWALVBHXBWNLJFXHTEFAQTWZHKANFBLBYXOOFESGE DYPWDNABRZJAKFSEAQPZ
