Two final basic questions (I hope)
 

After a years absence and now using the excellent Greywolves masterpiece for the first time may I ask
1 ) When on patrol now, do reported ships and convoys still automatically appear on your chart as ikons ?

2) I also recall from a year ago that some contributors had put together a list of those grid locations where enemy shipping was most likely to be located.
If anyone has this advice I should be very grateful for some reminders of those locations.

There is a convoy route map in the top left corner of the nav map screen - drag into view
