Survivor: Cook Island
If anyone else is watching this, here's a thread for it.
I saw the opener last week, and we watched the second episode tonight. Having 20 people makes for short camera time for each survivor. It got kind of weird tonight, with the Metal Dude saying he was in love with a chick from another tribe :o And yes, I know, AL, you don't like this type of entertainment, either. :sunny: |
I missed tonight but I saw the first episode. I just don't see how Survivor could ever be the same without Rupurt!:nope:
|
I have only seen one complete season before, that was season #2. I wasn't interested in the show at first, but as season 1 went on, I kept hearing so much about the hype I watched the finale. Then I watched season 2 all the way through, it was pretty cool, interesting to see people deal with the adversity and challenges. I started watching season 3 but lost interest after a couple shows... and didn't see any until this season. With the tribes split along racial lines, I think it's a really interesting social experiment. So far, the racial differences have been pretty minimal.

You missed a hell of a season with Rupurt. I am hoping for the cool Vietnamese guy named Howard. He is quite the character.

Tonight I was shocked to se those Latinos boot out one of them for "snoring" during is sleep. What kind of tactic is that against the other tribes, NONE???:nope: |
The wife and I watch it all the time every season...yea this season is off to a peculiar start...I can't believe how cut throat the "Latin" team was tonite is hacking off a member like that ....totally dumb on there part...wonder if that says something for the "Latin" race...JK had to throw that in there since this season has the teams divided by race...yea what a dumb move that was...but the end part....trippy...dude seemed insecure about himself.Biggest thing to us is that fact that I don't think hardly any team has ever successfully created "FIRE" the first day there....makes me wonder about the human "Race' lol.

What kills my interest in that show is how it transitions from a team game to a solo "screw your comrades" contest.
IMO teams really aren't teams when they know they'll eventually have to compete against each other. I think it'd be a much better game if it didn't have that aspect to it. |

That's what good about the show, to see how humans are in their atypical daily life with one another as a team, and make difficult choices throughout the journey until one remains. We really see the character of each person here. Obviously, we saw in this last episode how those Latinos made a stupid choice, they purposely lost a team challenge to able to boot out a person for snoring. Yet do you think they have thought that, maybe, that person would bring them "all" a bit further in the show? Human behavior at their best let me tell you. And us we laugh for the quandaries of others. :D |

This show is a disgrace for the Human Race.
Not interested unless they get to swim with Sting Rays. |

:rotfl:
Then let's make it Humans vs Gorillas vs Lions vs Sting Rays. I'd watch that, especially if it involved death. We should vote on which participant we want thrown into a life or death challenge impossible to beat. The last survivor to die wins. I'll cheer for the Lions. |
I think they made a movie about that called Jackass II
