From USS TEXAS SSN-775

Good morning all. I am very sorry about my lack of posts here recently but with the boats commissiong and other things I have been swamped. I first would like to thanks Neal for his hospitality in welcoming the boat to texas.

Secondly, I would everyone to know that Neal did a great job on ridding the boat on his day cruise and would have no problem handing him a qual card. I think that Neal definetly has the knack to be a "bubblehead".

Third and lastly I want to thank all the readers and members here at subsim for the support for our commissioning event. I have been on the USS Texas for almost 4 yrs. I have brought here through 90% of the construction process, both sea trials and every underway since. I was floored by the show of support from both the people here and in the great state of texas. I thank you all for your support.... Feel free to ask any questions either here or privately and I will answer the best I can.

Thanks very much.

USS Texas is a damn good ship, I wish my navy had a ship like that.

Greetings from Texas, PingJockey and the crew of the U.S.S. Texas!

From this former Texas military man... I want to say thank you for what you guys are doing. For you and your crew it is no "simulation" when you go to sea. The dangers are clear and present. It is only through the eternal vigilance and the voluntary surrender of your own freedoms... that freedom itself is maintained.

Freedom is never free.

Wherever you guys may be on the map... and no matter how secret the mission... Know that we will always hope for your safe return.

Now all that being said... If the poop hits the fan, all you guys need to do is reach for the top shelf... Take one can labeled "Texas Whoop Ass"

...and demonstrate to the bad guys that you just...

DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS!!!!
Hooooyah!:arrgh!:

If he's wearing that lighthouse shirt, they are surely looking after him!

And hello Pingjockey!

Good that you've come up for air, Mike, although the Texas creates a mighty fresh breeze on her own. Keep her steamin' true.

All the best,

Hello to you.I think it must be great being on a brand new boat.I remember being on an airbus when it was less than 10 flying hours old.I hope that you do not have any microsoft installed.I have just spent all day battling with the new IE7!

I'm glad to see one of the navy's current sailors is also interested in our historical fun. This Old Sailor wishes you all the best in your future patrols.

A brand-new boat and you've already been on board for four years-construction to commissioning! That's impressive.
