The External View
 

I no you are not to use this when fighting for real, but i would like to use it now and then. I have downloaded most of the MODS here on this sight and missions also.
I am guessing that why my external view does not work now, is because of the MOD's and the missions that I have now downloaded into the game. Is this why, I do not have an external view for realism. If so, is there any way of getting it back without re-installing the game and patches. Thanks in advance,

Haven't heard of any mods that disable the external view, that's controlled by the Realism settings you can switch before each patrol as I understand it. Have you checked there?

Somehow I'm suddenly no longer able to change height in ext. view. I can rotate and zoom but not dive or ascend with the mouse anymore. What could that be? Haven't changed key mapping...

Sometimes I get a weird behavior when viewing externally, the view will automatically move on its own.. usually going down or going forward. Makes using it completely useless. Only thing that fixes it is starting a new patrol.

Thats a bug caused by viewing objects ashore... The cam go nuts if you suddenly locks on to a coastal search light or something similar.

I have checked that each time I go in. Thanks for the help I will just keep trying.
or re-install and load everything again.
