more you know you're playing too much SH3
Found them on a blog, of all places. Sorry, if they're repeats:
Everytime you walk by a pond you run over like a madman, toss in the largest stone you can find and yell "Wasserbomben!!" You've taken to sleeping with your clothes on, 'just in case'. Everytime you return rather late from a boys night out you look for the 'Rig for Silent Running' button. Everytime you're tired you think there’s a red exclamation mark over your head. Whenever you see a ship you estimate tonnage, draft and wonder where the fuel bunker/engine rooms are. You wonder where the heck the band and nurses are every time you pull back into your driveway. You wonder if you can get away with speeding if your car had a stern tube. You start giving directions to people in terms of bearings. You refer to all the locations in the city by their map grid coordinates. Everytime you see a hot chick you yell "Chick beschmutztes Lager...!" You keep referring to yourself in the third person as Herr Kaleun. You ignore all rust on your car. You conduct surfacing and submerging exercises with your head in the bathtub. You seriously consider painting your flotilla emblem on the side of your car. You absentmindedly pulled open a manhole and went down the ladder because you had to go below decks. Everytime you go jogging you give yourself telegraph speeds. -- http://users4.ev1.net/%7Etaragem/sh3_u100.jpg |

These two are true for me. I'll post some pictures with my green (and a few rust spots) and Atlantic Wolf decorated Renault 12. She's called Christina, and still makes 160 km/h if she's angry and has good gasoline to eat. Now I have to make some repairs to the front suspension system, and I try not to force her at ahead flank, since the roads can be pretty nasty in my country Btw...how much is 160km/h in knots ? I' was also thoinking of adding a second speed gauge, marked in knots/h. |

That method is usually accurate at any speed which a ship travels at (at 30knots, your result in KM is 54KMph the actual answer is 55.5) However this is because SHIII uses the Universal Standard definition of a Nautical Mile being 5852ft - and I have a sneaking suspicion that the WW2 German Navy used the Anglisised Nautical Mile as 6080ft. lol - Now you guys know I DO play SHIII far too much |
I mentioned this in another thread
When you're at the beach watching cargo ships passing by and you start thinking of how you'd position yourself for a shot on them |
Or you yell "We have flooding, Herr Kaleun!" while in the shower. ;)

In fact Erich Topp`s red devils would look really cool on a racing car:yep:

There is a thread on "you know you're addicted when..."-posts already, but yes, some of them are new.

I meant "would".
I swear, though, when I get a car it'll have a speedometer that measures speed in knots. |
When we`re into estimating the tonnage of ships during a sunday`s walk in the harbour, I`m even more bizarre: When I see a ship anchored in the port of my home town I often wonder what her draft may be. You see, I love using the magnetic pistol:lol:

...when you paint a big flotilla mark on the passenger and driver side doors.
...when you exclaim to the mechanic that in addition to a new timing belt that your periscope won't go up pointing to your broken radio aeiral. ...when you hang your lunch from the clothing hooks in your car. ...when your boss asks you why you're late and you explain that bernard made your car stall on the freeway. ...when shaving makes you feel naked. and worst of all: ...when you're 19 and single.:damn: |
Thinking of installing a periscope to your car's sunroof :p
