SH3 now only runs in separate window?
When I run SH3 now it will only come up in a 1024x768 window. I have been running it since it came out, all kinds of mods, but mostly GW and the SP2 Res fix at 1280 x 960. I ran it last night and saved, then today when I fire it up it comes up in a separate window that says 1024x768 in the corner, and wont maximize. Even when I set the desktop res to 1024x768 and select the window the start button bar is still on top in the game. I dont have "taskbar always on top selected" and all my other games still run fine. I have un-installed SH3 (and removed the left over folder before re-installing it), and still the same result with the stock game patched to 1.4. Since I did not change anything to cause this, it is seriously freaking me out. Does anybody know how I can set the game so it takes over and runs in a proper window, like it has been for over a year now?:damn: :damn: :nope:
Oh yeah: Windows XP-sp2 AMD Athlon 64-3500 1 gig ram Nvidia 6800-Ultra-latest drivers |
if your running at high res did you check the d3d9 config file and see if it's settings are messed up?..it's just a thought or ckeck the vidcard control panel ?..ahhhh..is the full screen option checked in options?...never had that go wrong yet ...but it sounds like a simple fix..:damn:

Hello bunkerratt,
Yeah i checked the d3d9 config file, tried different resolutions, and then deleted the freaking thing so it would run in standard mode, all have the same result, including the new fresh intall. |

Go into this folder and file
"My Documents/SH3/Data/Cfg/main.cfg" Make sure it reads this under the 'VIDEO' column and then save it and try rebooting it... [VIDEO] Resolution=1024 x 800 DynamicShadows=Yes FullScreen=Yes Synchronized=Yes ParticleDensity=100.000000 TextureResolutionHigh=Yes |
