'Recreate this' screenshot competition ROUND 2
 

Ok, first of all. There are no prizes, only fame.

The idea is that I post a real photo and you must recreate the photo using SHIII screenshot.

Rules:
1. Editing the screenshot is allowed
2. Nothing from the photo which I post, cannot be copy&pasted to your screenshot.
3. Max. resolution of the screenshot is 800x600 (You might want to keep the 1024x768 version on your PC, as these competitions tend to produce cool looking wallpapers! :D)
4. I will decide the winning shot (dont take it personally, if yours is not winner.)
5. Two (2) screenshots per user are allowed. (Of course, you can again submit
when the next competition starts.)

Dowly here's what i tkink:

I took part with the first round, and spend some times in stormy sea in my W@W patrol and took some nice pics. But Cap. T beat us all to it! There's nothing i could've submitted that would come even close! Even thought i used gimp to pimp my pic!

How about you using something more difficult! Something more than some stills!

Even without the painted water sprays, I would have picked that one as a winner. The point-of-view was almost identical and there were two crew members in the image.

I'm working on one, so hang in there.

I took a pretty good screenshot but it's a long while since I took that PhotoShop course in High School. That, and the fact that I don't have PhotoShop (I use GIMP), makes editing it more tricky than I imagined:-?.

Will you be judging colour and grainy-ness, or just similarity in angles, position, etc.?

I plan to add that cloud cover using GIMP, and to tilt the pic' slightly to the side like the original.

What's up with the original, anyway? The horizon is not horizontal, but somehow the magic destroyer is? Or does it just look that way?

Graininess and the coloring doesnt matter. But if there are two similar pics that I have to choose from, I pick the one that looks better.

For round three, I might change things alittle. I´m planning on finding a pic, then I give a short description of the things that are happening in the pic. When the deadline´s over, I reveal the original pic and pick the one that comes closest to the original. What you think?

Does it have to be a IX boat like in the picture, cause im at the moment in a VIIB in my campaign. Although i could start up a single mission using IX, if it has to be.
