New U-Boat Capt.
Hi, im new to the forum, been viewing the humurous and unofficial "official" screenshot threads daily for about 2 weeks now, i bought SH3 about 3 weeks ago, and ive been hooked ever since, just a quick question, ive installed the DasBoot Icon mod that changes the faces (bottom left of game screen) but im just wondering what the other mods would be best, if not all of them :)

Welcome aboard! :)
You should try one of the supermods like NYGM or "Grey Wolves", check the mods section to find out more. |
Hello and welcome to the forum herr Kapitan!
Well, you should deffinately try one of the major mods (NYGM 2.1 or GW 1.1 ,or you could just wait untill NYGM 2.2 and GWX are released and download them then.Of course, nothing stops you from trying them all:D These major mods incorporate pretty much all the mods you would want + some other really neat ones, and you wil probably be surprised of how many changes the game goes through with the mod.Check their threads in the SH3MODS section ,and the official sites to find out more! Good hunting! |
Cheers guys, will install them when i get up from my long sleep after working all night :x but i will be happy again once im in the english channel sinking some freighters  :ping: :arrgh!:

Welcome aboard! The number 1 mod you have to try is GW. I downloaded it about a week ago and I do recommend it to anyone who wants the best mod for SH3 ( including you , off course).

I'd also advise SHIII Commander: it's been hugely popular around here and I believe version 2.6 was released recently.
