WARNING!!! - possible newbie question ;)

When (or how) do the base ports change from e.g. Kiel to Lorient etc.? I play GW campaign, it is August 1940, the France has just surrendered and I still have to get back to Kiel! :/ Am I doing sth. wrong?

the bases change according to history but i dont know the exact dates

The bases change mid june 1940
You can always try the phone on the desk and apply for a transfer - providing you have done 3 patrols in your current flotilla

You mean they change automatically??? :/ I start my current patrol in August 1940 and I still need to get back to Kiel... :(

Bestdes, the transfer options are quite minor - I'm in 7th Flotilla so I can only get to 1st or 2nd... It doesn't even say what their home ports are! :(((

Yes they do change automatically.

Even after France fell... it did take some time to set up the U-boat bases... and to build the pens etc etc. :ping:

IIRC the 2nd goes to Lorient
the 1st to Brest and the 7th to St Nazaire

They change automatically and you will be notified when your base has changed with a message on your screen.

Try and transfer to St. Nazaire; the other two are pigs to navigate out of :yep: !

Lorient is easy enough
