Can't reinstall Silent Hunter
I had to uninstall and now when I try to reinstall I am getting (error 1610). I understand that is a Microsoft Installer error. Does anyone know how I can repair or fix the problem.
Thanks for any help |

I've done everything except uninstall it manually which I won't try because it may mess up all my other programs as it stated in the warning. Guess I am going to have to wait until IV comes out that is unless I really get bored and try it. Thanks for your effort anyway.

Hi yellbird,
use this little tool for removing all registry entries done by SH3: http://www.filecache.de/62628196 or http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.ph...A370C507479281 In most cases the reinstallation will work Greetings, SSB |
I don't know what the 2nd file was doing but whatever it was it worked. A little scary because little boxes kept flipping over the screen and then rebooted but I am now able to reinstall. Thanks again for your help and if I see you waving from a ship i will not sink it Ha Ha:rotfl:

I sure wish my problem with the 44th patrol of U51 was just as easily solved. Losing U51 in her 44th patrol was like losing a best friend.
