Gruff Uboat skins
 

I have been using FUBARS Skins which come with the grey wolves 1.1a mod and have been looking for a change of pace--while they are very sexy, the skins are a little too polished and pretty for me and just look "gamey" for some reason. Can anyone suggest a skin for pref. VIIB which is a little more gruff and stoic looking (i.e. more rust or wear and tear, maybe with a darker or dull luster to the metal.)? I think I even liked the stock skin better just because it wasn't as gorgeous looking...if there are none, could someone point me to the stock skins via download or otherwise so i don't have to reinstall SH3 to get it?

If you're using the JSGME mod installer, just uninstall any skins you installed with it you don't like and you'll be back to the stock game skins.

At that site, try the NSS_Uboat7c_Camo_rusty. It works on the VIIB also.

I recommend the 'Type VII Realistic Hull skin' mod. It's similar to stock skin, but more realistic - I like it much. Don't know who created it [Al?] and where you could download it, maybe from the page GT182 mentioned [terrapin]. Have a try.

Since we're talking about skins, I have a problem:can't make them working.
I use JSGME enabler, but none work.And tryng also to install it manualy show no resoult.....
Any idea?

Something to look at while you're at the skins page: Down at the bottom are four Type II skins labeled 'STP'. This is Seans Texture Pack and they are some cool type II skins.

Yes I downloaded the 2a skins too--I d/l basically everything I could get my hands on hehe, though the VII Camo Rusty (NSS Uboat...) which was recommended would not download. so far my absolute favorite is the VII Camo skin (it's black/grey -- can't remember who made it). I actually appreciate the FUBAR skins a bit more now that I've been away from them, but that black camo one hits the spot for me, I was looking for something darker and not as shiny anyway. thanks for the links.
