Anybody remember how it is done?

I don't think there is anything built into the game.

If you play via DOSBOX, you can use CTRL-F5 provided by DOSBOX. That's what I have done here.

However, I play via VDMS. With VDMS, you will have to use a DOS screen capture TSR loaded with the game. However, I have found that usually leads to the game locking up after taking a few screenshots.

At silent thunder campaign website there is an utility to take pictures with DOS games :D
