Things you run into when chasing down icebergs

Was bored in middle of unproductive patrol (03/40) so my sh3 generator map showed iceberg markings in uncharted (ungraphed) artic waters............week later (game time) no icebergs found after exhausting my crew in the frigid north:nope: :rotfl: .

But, i did run into three different taskforces----one ran almost over me while submerged and i got a lucky shot off at an illustorious carrier---6000 away and shot the torp aimed about 20 ft in front of it. immediatley went deep and away at 1kt due to the mutiple dds but had external cam on the carrier (i know-cheating) the torp actually hit the carrier bow but no visible damage effect. a while later the cam showed the carrier front dipping in the surf at full speed so i tried to shadow the tf. right as it appeared that the carrier was getting ready to drive itself under-i lost sonar contact of the tf and also the cam view---thus no credit for assured kill:damn: .

1.)Is there a certain range limit you have to be in (other then obviously view, sonar) for the game to record your sinking?

2.)has anyone ever seen an iceberg?

Yeah, dolphins swim along your boat when close to milk cows.

I have only seen Icebergs in a single mission called Ice, Ice Baby. (Hehe)

Heres a vid from that mission:

I got to see the dolphins in spain using NYGM but havn't saw them yet with GW although ive not got to the milk cow time period yet in present campaign.

nice vid stabiz---thought I would have had a good chance in the campaign using SH3 generator---been able to find subnets, minefields, and ships almost exactly where it places them on the map.

I've seen the dolphins in a career, but never an ice berg.

Grey Wolves should add more of them.

I've seen me a mermaid once, but I've never seen no Phantom Russian Submarine!:arrgh!:

No icebergs and I got up close to the northern map limit once. I had to cheat to get home though cos I was almost out of fuel before getting back to Iceland.

I have only seen them in Ice Ice Baby the single mission mentioned in an earlier post.
