Bug while saving submerged

I had a problem with save tonight - after loading the game where I was submerded at periscope depth, my boat just 'falled to the ground' from 20 to 60+ meters... 'Teleportation' was instant, with no time to react. The career was lost. ;(

Is there a known workaround for such problems? Is there a known bug about saving submerged?

Thanks.

Here some rules:

-Always be sufraced when saving! For various reasons! :yep:

-Never save in ports! Can cause wonky things to harbor traffic and ships in ports! :shifty:

-Never save close to a convoy!:hmm:

-Never sleep with you best firends girlfriend! :rotfl:

;)

I've never encountered problems related to "saving while near a convoy", unless you're trying to tell me that wonky external-cam bug is caused by saving.

I once saved a game at 50 meters submerged ... next day loaded it up to continue and my cheif auto counted depth .. 90 meters , 100 meters , 110 meters .. by this time I had ordered flank speed and blow ballast several times.... 180 meters , .... 200 meters ,....240 meters ... I was gripping my office chair arms tightly and gritting my teeth expecting any moment to implode  ..... once we reached 1800 meters and still dropping I just gave up and commited suicide  .............

weird thing was that the external camera wouldn't work either even at the 100 meter depth ... oh well , i just had to re start that patrol over again ......

1800 meters? Can a modern sub even survive that depth?

That was exactly my situation, only the seabed was on 60 meters so I was dead on collision almost the moment the game initialized.

Ok, no more 'save while submerged' for me. I wonder if it also applies to running with decks awash. :hmm:
