CTD on Initialization

This happened to me a while back, I fixed it, but now it's happening again and I don't remember how I fixed it :shifty:. I have SH3Cmdr 2.6 and NYGM TW 2.01. I load up and when it's initializing to go into a mission, the game crashes to desktop. Are there any solutions to this?

You must be precise on when it CTD.

If it happens when the words "Initializing” (or what ever your version says) appears it is your career file in My Documents that is corrupted.
It can be the last mission or the crew update.

What have you changed that since has corresponded with the CTD?

Have you installed any new mods recently? Only CTD problems I've had was I installed a mod while on patrol when I needed to be back at port to install it.

After a couple hours of investigating, I finally discovered that as my problem. Is there any way this can be fixed? Why is it always my WaW career that gets trashed :shifty:...

Well if you did install a new mod that is causing your CTD, youll need to uninstall whatever mod or mods you recently added. Then play your patrol and when you return to port and your in the office you can exit the game and install the mod and it should work. Some mods like sound mods or graphical mods that change textures can be installed anytime, even while on patrol.

Hope you get it sorted out.
