Is it possable to merge 2 images?

Hi, I just wondered if it's possable to merge 2 images so that the effect is like a double exposure, if so could someone give instructions and name of the software to do this?:D
Many Thanks.

You can do that with GIMP, use the Layer feature.

Paint Shop Pro 9 or X will let you do this as well as PhotoShop Elements series

The two programs in the title above will let you merge two photos into one image digitally. But the process is too hard to explain in text on this board. Do some google searches on these two programs and locate the news groups. Adobe and Corel are the two companies that produce these programs.
