Dud torpedos
 
Hello all!

Does anyone else think the same torpedos are allways duds? For example with IIa/b -type I think the third torpedo is usually dud, at least if using magnetic detonator. T's in tubes I and II seems to work just fine every time, III is dud and then two reloads are ok?!? :hmm:


It's rare I miss the hit, but I never got anything with the third torpedo. I'm not totally positive on this, but at least very suspiciouse. Also something similar might occure in the bigger boats = allways the same torp's...

When I miss, I call a captain's Mast and demote the WO.

Maybe its a percentage of failure built into the coding for the period you play and it basically makes it so that 1 out of 3 are duds and the third is the one that the math makes a dud. Coding can sometimes be so very stupid and predictable. That said you might just be the most lucky captain in the early war. Now you know exactly which torpedo is gonna fail!

or possibley (sp?) its that you just coincidently had duds in tube 3 more than one occaision or sabotage or maybe the ships were made of wood... ever thought of that? :P
