Drifting?
Are we drifting based on the wind/waves/current in the game? Is it modeled.
When my speed is completely to zero and I am watching on the map my ship/symbology, it seems it doesn't move. May be I was not a scale small enough at that time?? Thanks |
I think it depends on the weather within your current spot on the map,not the winds like in real-life.Sometimes you just stay in one place not moving at all and sometimes in stormy weather you can catch quite some speed on the waves

YES, there seems to be drifting.
Take out the ruler and plot a targets course. Now try postioning your sub ahead of time for a 90* AOB bow at close range (400 meters). You will sometimes notice that you will drift off that mark. You don't notice any drift next to another ship because it is drifting with you. Currents are not THAT localized to be confined to only in the first 1-2 meters of water depth. In any case, the ship you torpedoed will almost always have a greater than or equal draft as it starts flooding and taking on water. |
I noticed drifting - well I assume thats what it was - when I added ships to ports
If I didnt make them docked when I visited the port they had moved from where I had placed them The docked ones were still in the same place I had put them |
