Europeans don't know security - Galileo GPS system already hacked...
|
There is more to it.http://www.heise.de/bin/tp/issue/r4/dl-artikel2.cgi?artikelnr=23071&mode=print
Although an US-independent system, Us military demanded from very early on that it sghould be allowed th epossebility to switch if down to a lower resolution, if it wants that. after long angered debates, Europe bite it's lips and agreed - and did nothing to comply with that imperial demand. Now the empire strikes back. It's also about demand sfrom the GPS supplier that Galileo should not surpass the quality set by GPS. When Galileo was introduced, american representatice wanted to see it getting shut down, for "the world does not need another, non-American GPS system". |

It's not just a randomly initiated technical stunt, and while Europe did not see the justice of the American demands to tailor specific details of Galileo according to wishes by the Pentagon (Galileo is european, not american), now measures are taken to get what it wants by force - no matter what Europe says to that. That's how it is red on our side of the pond.
