First flying sports car

Couldn't the first flying sports car (No - the old beetle doesn't count) at least look better than this?

Yuck!

One more thing. It is being shown at Oshkosh this year, so I might as well head up to Airlington airport and check it out.

Scratch that - it won't be at Arlington this year.

PS. Going to Oshkosh might be entertaining however. I think I am a little late though.

Did you ever read the book? Better than the movie, and written by Ian (James Bond) Fleming.

Also, there was a flying car back when I was young:

Never did read the book and no - I did not know it was Ian Flemming that wrote it!

I mentioned the old bug conversion above - that doesn't count as a sports car in my book. That thing never went anywhere. Boeings museum of flight has one, and that Aerocar not only looks questionable to fly (With great room for center of grav changes), but it also looks unsafe to drive! I guess it works OK though no one ever bought em.

I forgot to put that in-it's not a sports car to me either. I just thought I'd mention it. Actor/comedian Bob Cummings used one in his second TV show, The New Bob Cummings Show. He'd tow the airplane parts around on a trailer.

These guys are working on a new one:
