Range of acquisition of the MK46 and MK50 seeker

What is the range acuisition that we can expect from those two torpedoes?

As well I would like to know why the torpedoes launch from ship in DW seems alway going close or broaching the surface before going at the entered depth?

Thank you

well in real life the range depends on alot of variables enviromental the angle of the target type of target and the settings on the weapon which isnt very accuratley simulated in the game as i have said the weak point of the game is the weapons side but also the auto teams should be improved even a real sonar operator can tell you what type of ship hes listening to pretty quickly such as merchant ,fishing vessel or poss warship . this need to be improved also and the tma teams i can get to a hard solution my self within a few mins of tracking but then im an expert the auto teams should be able to aswell

The reason the torpedoes run close to the surface is because when fired from the FFG or Helo, the Mk50 and Mk54's in LWAMI 3.02 default to run at 10ft under the surface when preenabled, which is close enough to the surface that occasionally break the surface. This is easy to change, and in the works for LWAMI4.

The seeker range on the Mk50 and MK54 in LWAMI 3.02 is 2300m against the most salient targets.

2300 meters sounds great!

and roger for changing the 10 feet in pre enable.

Now what about the number of degrees on either side of the line of fire for those torps?

Thanks
