GW: message - New Base Keil
 

I installed GW over SHIII (fully patched, no other mods). When I opened a save in my career, I get a pop-up message, transferred to Kiel. Clicking on OK will not clear it, and after muiltiple clicks, it clears itself, and I am at my base in Bergen. I can start my new patrol complete it, return and save. Next mission, same message. A friend has done the same install and got the same message. However, his saved patrol opened somewhere off Africa. He started a new career, and it also gave the Kiel message, and then started him in Kiel.

Any idea what's going on, and how to fix it?

Have you actually tried sailing into kiel and exiting the patrol there?
As for your friend starting his patrol of the coast of Africa that's happened to me once but I minimised sh3 and then tried to re edit my patrol grid with the game running so the african coast I think was my own doing.

I've the same problem, the only way I found to fix it is starting a new carrer.
