War Ended....in 1939?!?!?!?!

I just finished my first patrol of my career. I started in September of 1939 and after I returned to bsae after completing my patrol I awarded medals and quit the game. When I went to reload my game, it said that I couldn't reload because the war had eneded!!!! Huh??? The only ship I sank was a Polish merchant. Did I single-handedly alter the outcome of the war or should you only save your career while out at sea as opposed to in port?

Yeah I was going to say maybe Churchill, Rosevelt and Stalin were aboard on a fishing weekend. Guess we should all brush up on our German.

Actually no idea what happened, maybe a glitch.

Yes it's a slight bug, It has happened to me a couple of times, the carreer length is random & sometime that happens!:-? Just have to start a new carreer & next time maybe you'll get 3 years!

My thoughts exactly:lol:.

The spooky part is that there are a good deal of such small things making such a huge difference in history, you know. Such as a table leg saving Hitler from bomb death.

Huh carear length isnt random unless your running sh3 commander (i think its the only mod that can do that as it uses its own executable). If your running stock it could be a bad install of the game, or just a glitch.
