There are 4 semifinalists, and in your poll we can choose only one. :hmm:

In any case the 4 semifinalists will be :

France
Germany
Italy
England.

and this will mark the absolute dominance of european football.

Brasil
Germany
Italy
England (maybe)

Most of these are too close to call, but here goes .

Germany ( on current momentum and home advantage)
England ( improving and more settled against a depleted Portugal)
Italy ( playing probably the weakest of the eight)
Brasil ( on class and pedigree)

Germany, Italy, Portugal, France. Call it a European championship. I could imagine that Germany meets France in the finals. Which would mean that we would also see a match Germany-Italy - another one of these nailbiter-classics like GER-ARG or GER-FRA! we cannot complain of having to fight some well-reputated opposition. Very well, fighting our greatest enemies and then winning the cup in our own country - couldn't become any better! :-j Since it already is decided, you certainly agree that it only can become boring now, so let's call off the rest of the tournament, cancel the remaining matches, send the teams home, and celebrate on the Ku'damm!

That's the spirit! Good to hear that van Basten will be allowed to continue his work.
First time ever, that I was supporting the Dutch arch-rival (in the match against Portugal).
I must be getting soft .

semi-finalists:

Argentina-Italy
England-France (will involve a bit of frog-scolding from the beefsteaks), penalty shout out?

finalists: Argentina-England :ping:
winner: England after penalty shoot-out:arrgh!:
, or so.

Think Hollands last game was very exciting. Not really football. but definately good show of Guarilla Warfare.

Seems the referees have too big an influence of the World Championship. Think it is about time the FIFA arrives in the 21st century and starts using TV footage. Last unbelievable mistake I recall was that penalty against Australia

I'll say Germany this time out...they seem to be consistent.
