I just realized that I'd never been attacked by aircraft in SHIII!

Still I've played two careers done and am on the third after a pause of many months!

hehe, funny in game after 1943, it gets harder being surface during days because of planes, so we players here in SH3 mostly surface at night, submerge during the day. But here history info about leigh light in later war caused many Uboats to do the opposite of what we usually do,

devs should have had added this on planes, I wonder if modders here could do it?

Leigh lights have beem added as a mod into the game and it is also included in the NYGM TW 2.01 package and I guess it is also added into GW mod too.

I had the same experience with GW 1.1. After weeks of no aircraft I had to edit aircraft.cfg. It resulted in immediate and repeatable aircraft encounters.
YMMV, I play with high TC frequently.

I am using GW 1.1a and have had very few run-ins with the RAF or FAA. I remember something from long, long ago about patrolling with TC too high resulting in aircraft not be created in the world or something....

Can I ask what you edited and do you feel it gave you a realistic result?

*EDIT - Also, I don't have an Aircraft.cfg but do have Airstrike.cfg, I assume this is the one? :D

LOL thats the one. At work atm and can not check, but as I recall, I simply reverted to the stock file.

There is a bug that affects aircraft spawning. It gets worse for each speed over 256 when you use time compression.

Lol you are lucky i've noticed that even in like 1939 i'l get attacked randomly out in the middle of nowere between england and norway or whatever its called then not get attacked for the rest of the patrol unless I take down a merchant :D

btw I use stock SHIII... dont really wannna mod meh game ever...
