Crush Depth Hideing?

Ok I'm in the North Alantic where the water is over a 1000m deep I was wondering if going to my crush depth would throw the 5 destroyers I have all over me?

btw Thanks

I cannot comment for the default game. However if you are using the NYGM TW v2.1 then the deeper you go the better it is in evading the escorts.

Also, if your using SH3 Commander you may get lucky and find a thermal layer to hide under.

I thought thermal layers weren't modeled in SH3.
(I'm running a stock version btw)

They're not. That's why Hemisent says "...if your using SH3 Commander...". Hemisent has done a great job mimicking thermal layers by utilising SH3Cmdr's Randomised events functionality.
