grey wolves issues

Hi all, I just downloaded and installed the gw mod. it looks terrific but I have 2 issues. 1) at night it is so dark I can't see a blasted thing, and 2) all the ships seem to be made out of cork, they are almost impossible to sink. What's up with this? It took 3 torps to sink a small merchant. That was after waiting almost 1 hour game time to see if it would sink on its own.

Try the 8km or 16 km Light mod, in the optional folder. It should lighten things up.

Ship sinkings are from NYGM 1.3, which GW uses for ship sinkings. Some will sink NOW, some will take a while, some will need a lot of help. I just read a source on Japanese merchants that describes one taking six fish and five hours to sink! Still, most should be faster than they are.

The trick with NYGM Damage Model 1.39 is used in Grey Wolves, is that you have to hit the ship in different parts in order for them to flood and eventually sink. One other caveat is that the deck gun shells are effective mostly at the waterline.

There are one torpedo opportunities that you just have to discover them.;) Certain part of the ships, impact, magnetic torpedos; It all matters now.

Hello to all !!
This is my first post, but i´m following you guys for a long time.

I´m getting the same problem with vision/night. I´ve tried de 8 and the 16 km light mod, but didn´t help. Downloaded the lastest drivers from the monitor (HP vs19x), with no effect to. Found a program (SH3 colour inpsector), but i´m not feeling to confortable to edit the colors from the files; so.. if anyone have the answer...
i´l just say please!!

Once again thank you all, for making this SIM a great game.

From Portugal...Cheers.

I'm pretty sure the Colour Inspector is only for underwater colors, so it won't work. I'm sorry you're having these problems; mine is the opposite-even with the Dark version it's still way to bright at night.

Sorry I couldn't be more help; I hope someone has an answer for this.

For those who simply want the original water
http://mysite.verizon.net/~vze33y78/OriginalWater.zip
JSGME ready.

I use it with both 16k and 8k atmospheres with no issues.

I have yet to see a color mod that does not leave me sitting in pitch black, plus I have color deficiencies and weak eyes, so I am partial to original water.
