Removing some items you may find Annoying IYO.

A. Follow path from My Computer/C:/Program Files/Ubisoft/SllentHuhterIII/data-This applies to all changes covered in this post.
B. From, data/Menu/menu_1024_768.ini ---file,open with notepad,scroll down,near the end of page you should see a section bracket line like this. ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;Dragable Chronometer- BY JONZ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

Delete every thing between bracketing,in this area only. Save Changes

;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;Dragable Chronometer- BY JONZ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
D.Go to data/Menu/cfg/Dials.cfg --open--same steps,as in B.w/notepad,Recall step C.! You will see same indexing,bracketing,delete contents,save changes
E.Go to data/Menu/Gui---open,find Chronometer.tga,delete same.Recall step C.

It's history! Work unsupported be comes fruitless effort.(It Happens!) IMHO.

I plan to try removing files:StrTactMap.tga,TabelleMin.tga,& TabelleStd.tga---I don't read German,these tables may be useful,to those whom do.The time/distance charts,on my nav.map,are in the way, plotting intercept,& I don't use them also.
You all,let me know,& I'll Let you know if my plans worked.The TabelleStd.tga,& TabelleMin.tga--I would swap out for English,in A heartbeat.If I could get them:lol: :yep: :p :sunny:

Why is the draggable chronometer "work unsupported"? It works great. It starts on the same screen it started on before (either the UZO, the attack periscope, and maybe the TDC I forget) and then you can access it from any other screens. Do you want to go to the bridge and observe? Well, you can take your stopwatch with you. Do you want to go supervise the reloading of the torps in F7? Take your stopwatch with you. I think it's a neat addition. I'm surprised some people don't find any use for it.

Yea, I certainly do. All sorts of uses for it, in fact. Timing my crash dives, timing my periscope observations.... the list is endless! (almost) :hmm:

Ducimus... that's simply kewl!!! :cool:

Sometimes it is absolutely okay to be barking mad.

Well, my stop-watch is non-compatible with the game's TC :88)

Though that shouldn't stop the real hardcore :up:

Hey, timing those crash dives for an type IX is important!

Kpt. Lehmann 06-15-06 03:16 AM

For the time being I only have a digital stopwatch... and its just not the same.

Ahhh well... I am looking forward to my eventual 1x TC patrols. :D

I also use a digital stopwatch. An old time watch would be a nice addition to my gaming props (in addition to my white-topped schirrmutze I wear to make my head sweaty, and of course the poor ventilation in the room, heh heh).

I'm curious how a stopwatch is not compatible with the game's TC. You mean that at 1x TC a second in the game is not the same as a second on your stopwatch? I never timed a game minute before, but maybe I should just to see. I always just assumed, and we all know what happens when you do that.
