Gimme my luxury yacht!
Sorry but I had to post this here too...
I just cant wait for my luxury yacht! Er, I mean Gato boat! I have been reading the Fleet Type Submarine manual (url: http://www.maritime.org/fleetsub/ ) and from what I have gathered the US Navy is where its at as far as a submariner is concerned! All this time I have been spending in the Kreigsmarine sweating below decks while in the US Navy I could have just turned on the air conditioning! Check it out: http://www.maritime.org/fleetsub/app...es/figa-11.htm They even had central air distrubution just like a modern house: http://www.maritime.org/fleetsub/ref...t/fig18-01.htm :rock::rock::rock: And to really rub it in they also have a refrigerator and an ice cream machine: http://maritime.org/fleetsub/refrig/chap7.htm#fig7-23 :rock: And for all you Kaleuns out there the Captian of a US sub not only has his own bunk, but also a cabin with a door. No flimsy curtains there! Man oh man, if the average ubootman knew about this there would have been mass mutiny for sure! :rotfl: |
I know, I can't wait for this in SHIV... Btw, shouldn't this be in the SHIV forum?

Yeah, some folks criticize them for being big and unwieldly, which makes it more dangerous; some folks say the American submarine war was too easy. I say I love 'em all, and I want to see the Gato, and the old 'S' boats, and the giants like Argonaut and Narwhal with their 6" guns. I just want to operate out of Cavite and Fremantle again. |
Same thread exists in SH4 forum. Thread closed.
