A Sub Sim with Typhoon?

Hi, I'm fairly new to sub games, and was wondering if there were any out there with a typhoon class sub (like in Red October) or a sub like the Kursk (was it Oscar-II class?). I think I read somewhere that a typhoon was available for "SCX" or something like that. Can somebody maybe help me? As I said I'm new to this and normally play completely different things, like driving or shooter games.

You are right in that you can 'drive' a Typhoon class SSBN in the Sub Command game with the SCXIIc mod and the Sub Changer Utility which is included in SCXIIc. You can fire torpedoes and use it's sensors but you cannot fire SLBM's from it. Short of this mod for Sub Command I do not know of any other submarine came that allows you take take charge of a Typhoon boomer.

I always wanted for the Oscar II to be playable with it's SS-N-19 Shipwreck missiles being available for use.

Its not excellent by any means, not wonderfully accurate, its basic but theres a typhoon and oscar availible in virtual sailor.

I was wondering if it was in virtual sailor but I have never tried VS myself. I could only remember talk of it on the SC forum ages ago.

would you say that Sub Command was a good game? Is it ok to get in to? Furthermore, is there a site where you can get mods and things for it?
