European Championship as well?!?!
Yes, - O.K , slightly off topic - but there is currently a European Football Championship '06 being held in Portugal for players under 21. The final is tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon between Holland and the Ukraine. Holland has sensationally beaten Italy - the current European champions - and France - considered the best team - on a row with extremely attractive offensive football. Ukraine however has beaten Holland in the first round...
Watch this match; two teams that will really go for it! |
and lets not forget the now reasonably respectable Women's international Wolrd Cup competition--it's no longer quite the joke to watch that it used to be--they've been showing some of the qualifyers live --the major teams are worth watching---lousy goal keepers tho--they still more worried about the hardness of the ground than where the ball is--
make 'em play on concrete pitches for a while that'll cure them --OUCH!!!!!!! i was usually the goal keeper in our matches as a kid and we nearly allways had to play on a car park or similar--used to go home bleeding from the knees and elbows all the time--or at the least covered in bruises from head to foot--OUCH!! then when you do get to play on grass you feel like your diving on a feather bed and stop worrying about--then it's just avoiding the boot in the face |
