Amazingly, ppl still think DNF is a real game
 

Anyone remember that much lauded, and perpetually delayed sequal to Duke Nukem 3D, known as Duke Nukem Forever, or DNF for short? Heres the forum for it: http://forums.3drealms.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=13

I guess every game community has its hold outs. Personnally I say DNF materalizes into a real playable title when pigs fly. I also think 3d realms is living in some vaccum and has sealed off the real world, - living in some fantasy land funded by their former success as a game developer.

I did read in PCPP gaming mag that Duke nukem forever is finally coming out next yr. Then again it could of been a joke.

Gaming magazines have been saying that for years. I think its something they pull when they run out of newsworthy items. :rotfl:

Yeah true:D But this time they did sound serious;) They had an interview with the developers and according to them its going to be out mid 2007..... Yeah right:arrgh!:

Im convinced, DNF doesnt exist. And even if it was real, and was released, i wonder how many people would care by now? Probably out of curiousity to see why they delayed a game for. ahh... what 10 years now?

I'll bet it would as well recieved as Daikatana :rotfl:

DAIKATANA!!! Dont get me started on that game, the media hype for that game made John Romero and his high rolling "game developer as movie star" media image to a crashing halt. I remeber all the written up hype on how good this game was going to be, only for it to totally suck mellens when it came out. :arrgh!: I brought it and remeber getting stuck untold times, where i couldn't move resulting in a restart of the level, i never finished it!

*mental note: Never mention the FPS that starts with the letter D, to Kiwi* :know:

I bet they are having fun and a good time. Isn't that what it is all about ? No matter if you play Pong or FlightSimulater2010

Yea it was going to have "The Rock" as Duke.

I think they realized he had no acting tallent and it became DOOM! :rotfl:

In 17 years I never did find out what the Rock was cookin'. :hmm:
