Hi All,

I hit Ctl + F and now a pipe has come up above the deck.

I could not find a keyboard def. for this, nor can I get it to go down.

Is it a snorkle pipe? :hmm:

Yep it's called a snorkel be careful how you use it.
It just can kill you if there's planes around

What keys do you lower it with?

Usually by hitting X that raises it and lowers it it does on mine anyway. check your .cfg file can't remember which one it is Basic or one of the others also have a look in the en.cfg it could be in there I just can't remember at tje momment.

What is the snorkel good for?

It's just like a real snorkel and recharges your batteries.

Well, the snorkel is a device that supplies you with fresh air while you are underwater. That means that you can operate your diesel engines to cruise and recharge your batteries.

It's a must have item after 1943.

A uboat at the end of the war managed to travel underwater from Germany to Argentina using snorkel / batteries without surfacing.

Hit F1. You'll see a list that will tell you what all keys do, including raising/lowering schnorkel.
