Hopefully this is a good thing...

Gizzmoe 05-25-06 12:59 AM

It´s a very good thing! Two of the best features are an (optional) full WYSIWYG editor (drag-and-drop emoticons now also work with Firefox) and a very good forum search.

Are you sticking with phpBB?

No, he switches to vBulletin, a commercial software.

Since I have to fly down to San Francisco to attend a political wedding that I just can't get out of...it works out fine for me.

Just hope the 4 hour conversion is back up and running by lets say oh ....Monday or Tuesday..... ;) :D

Syxx_Killer 05-25-06 01:50 PM

vBulletin forums are my favorite kind. I visit two other forums that use this software and it rocks.

Floater 05-25-06 02:10 PM

This is good news. I've not tried vBulletin boards, but it's got to be better than phpBB surely!

Here's hoping you have a smooth and hassle-free conversion, Neal.

Be aware that at the start, and maybe even for a longer time, many features will be disabled.

First the Onkel has to establish if the forum runs ok and stable, then later more option and features can be switched on.

You should visit the USS Pampanito while in San Francisco.
