Can the internal volume of the engines be increased in GW?

From all that I've read, I'm sure they were louder. Is there a simple tweak to a file you could walk me through?

Many thanks in anticipation. I'd also be interested in your views concerning what this volume level should be.

Happy Hunting, all.

You can manually edit the audio file and increase its volume. But i find it just about right when i am constantly playing music!!! Any louder and tipperary couldnt be heard.

Hehe hey look theres a sub over there! I can hear the loud music a mile off!

I'm picky about engine volume, so I have tweaked mine.

You can edit the sound volume pretty easily with sound recorder.
(All Programs-> accesssories -> entertainment -> sound recorder)

Just make sure you back up the original sound file first!

Brilliant. Thanks for the tip, Skubber. Is the relevant sound file easy/obvious to find?

Thanks again. :)

It is in the Data/sounds folder.
I believe it is "engine_external" or something like that.

Just double-click on the file, and iTunes or something will play it – then you know you have the right file. Make a copy on your desktop, and edit with soundrecorder. Suggest making sure you have your volume settings the same as when you play the game.

Have fun.

Thanks, Skubber. Will do.

Iron Coffins gives me the distinct impression that the diesel engine sound was pervasive.
