Performance tweaking?

i was wondering if there are any files i can edit to maybee lower the quality of the graphics beyond the few options in the option menu

i can play the game cuz it runs fine on the navagation and weapons screen, and it only lags a bit when looking at the crew, if i look the ship in 3rd person view while submerged there is NO lag whatsoever, but if i look at the ship from above water or if i try to man the guns or watch post it lags SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad

i have an integrated video card and no PCI express OR AGP slot, but i have a fast processor and decent RAM

Your integrated GPU is what's holding you back, not your processor. The game requires a lot of processing power, true, but it's graphics requirements aren't minimal.

The only thing you can possibly do is download something like 3Danalyze. There's another program, but it's been so long since I've used it, I forget it's name. I have posted about it before, so it's somewhere in the forums.

Anyway, you load this program and use the option "force half-precision". It forces all 32bit rendering to 16bit rendering. You're going to get blue flames, reduced contrast, and some wierd colors on the ocean spray, but it will give you a 50-100% boost in your framerates.
