Hi all, I bought SH3 (non modified so far) last month in the US after looking all over for it here in the UK. Im deeply interested in the Uboot war and have a few films and books, as well as a few scale models which I will get pictures up of soon. Anyway Ive just completed my 21st patrol (50 odd percent realism, I know!! :nope: ) now up to 1943 in the 10th flotilla with an IXB, I found the last 2 patrols to be hellishly boring and unproductive (grid GR) but have since hit massive tonnages in grid CB.

I so far have one question, does returning to port give you any extra renown? So far I have simply pressed ESC and returned to port after expending all torps. Thanks.

Yes, if you return to port you get 100 renown. You also get 200 renown for arriving at your patrol area and 200 for completing the 24 hours.

I return to port, dock in the right pen (where all the pretty girls show their knickers and throw flowers) and I come to a full stop, come out for fresh air and wave to the crowd. I mean...people are there waiting for you to return. :stare:

Does that actually happen ??

Well, the girls don't show their knickers (only in my dirtiest dreams) but they do throw flowers at you. Yes, I do come to a full and complete stop and I pop out for fresh air. And yes...there are people waiting for you...so only the knickers part was made up. :up:

Though I hasten to add, this doesn't happen in every port.
