Hello All. This Newbie Needs a Little Advice...
 

Hello all.

I'm a newbie at SH3 and was wondering what "A must" additions I would need to download and install to make this sim even better. I see there are quite a few. At the present, I just have the "stock" sim updated to v1.04. If you could, please be specific, because this 52 year old geezer sometimes gets confused. LOL!!! :rotfl:

Any help on this would be GREATLY appreciated.

Check the "SH3 Mods forum" for a good list, you see, we get ~8 of the same "what mods should I get" a week! ;)

1st.
SH3 Commander.
Great & simple to install/use.

This forum too is full with the "what mods" question.

My suggestion is to get first the SH3 Commander (external application).

Then play with the stock game for a while; On the mean time check the forums for useful discussions, dig up old posts. You'll find many interesting things. Then after some missions, I suggest you try one of the modpacks:

Grey Wolves: Great atmosphere, middle way realism, graphics, sounds
NYGM Tonnage War: New concepts, Realism
Real U-boat RuB: Realism
Improved U-Boat: Normal realism, graphics sounds
