Best Tons fer yer Torp
 

I use NYGM TW, which makes it quite challenging to bag tonnage. The larger ships are now quite difficult to sink - Large Cargo, Large Tanker - both are hard to sink, and second, their tonnage has been reduced making them barely worth the effort. I've decided that the best bang for my torp is in the small tanker. It's around 5k and is close to a 1-shot kill. If I land one shot just in front of the midline, and get it reasonably low, after a while her bow will duck under the waves and the ocean will claim her. I think it's because her compartments are so close together that a good torp will crack many of them at once. With a larger ship, you have very little chance of cracking multiple compartments. Accordingly, Large Cargo and Large Tanker take 2, or 3 well spread, and low, torps to sink via buoyancy (i.e. crits aside).

So - for all those TWers out there -what's yer new favourite tonnage cow?
