Art and graphics look good. Sadly, not many people as interested in board games these days.

I wish there was a boardgame sub simulation for a single sub. I'd like to see a German U-boat board game.

Compass sent us a copy, it is next on the review list. Look for an article in around 10 days.

There was such a game long ago. Avalon Hill's Submarine was a tactical board game that allowed you to control a submarine of one of the major powers of World War II. One player assumed the role of a submarine captain while other was an escort and/or convoy commander. The submarine location was kept secret and the sub player used written plots for movement and firing (torpedoes). The escort/convoy players also plotted their ships on the board. The game included rules for multiple players, various anti-submarine warfare systems, historical scenarios, night-fighting, and an abstract campaign game.

Still remember a hypothetical design-your-own scenario I created where a Allied convoy was attacked by a wolfpack consisting of U-Boats, Italian and Japanese subs. Good times.

I had an Avalon Hill game of submarine warfare (I might still have it somewhere in fact), but it was a modern sub warfare game called Attack Sub. It was pretty good, and I wrote a 'Hunt for Red October' scenario for it.

I once saw this old submarine strategy game in a store in the States. It had a paper board with a hex grid, and cut-out cardboard pieces, like Firefightand TacAir (or did TacAir have wooden pieces?). Anyone know the name of it?
