The what if again

The United States navy has just put you in command of thier newest attack submarine USS Wasington SSN785 (fictional), they have asked you to select your main hands on the boat, who will you choose?

For me:

C.O.B Xabbarus he knows how to bark an order, and has a level head.

X.O Bellman he does like to play daddy to his crew and he would be efficent

Sonar: Has to be Sea deamon i have no idea why i think he would be good at it.

Radio: Skybird definatly he loves writing long essays now this is his one true calling

Engineer: Bill just something twigged in my mind i havent a clue why but it sticks out.

I already see myself broadcasting - and no one listening... :-?

Better make me the equivalent of Worf on bridge of the Enterprise  No more security problems, no poll lows for the captain, no broken moral, no lacking discipline, and no hostile ships in the vicinity (at least not for long) - promised! http://www.langkawi.dk/smileys/u35.gif

Skybird: "And now, a personal request, Sir. Permission to clean up the forum."

(for non-trekkies, this is a paraphrasing of Worfs line in the first episode of TNG: "And now, a personal request, Sir. Permission to clean up the bridge.")

 Kapitan, I'm hurt...no command level position for me on your boat?? Ouch.

As for the above stuff on Worf: :rotfl:

Hay I thought I was declared the most Klingon like member of the Forum!

Only one way to settle this, we must battle to the death with Bat'leths on the bridge!

Not much glory to be had beating you in a game of chess. Not unless I have to carve my way through a hundred Gorn or Jem'hadar to get to the table. ;)

… plus I suck at chess…

I've met Mr. Worf. I've known him for many years and let me tell you Skybird, you are no Worf.

Touche. Too bad Dan Quayle didn't have a snappy comeback like that. :yep:

JSLTIGER 04-20-06 09:03 PM

EDIT: Accidental double post...sorry.

JSLTIGER 04-20-06 09:03 PM

When did Dan Quayle have a snappy comeback about anything?

Better question: When was the last time Dan Quayle had a rational thought?

Excalibur Bane 04-20-06 09:50 PM

The rational thing to do after that drubbing Admiral Stockdale gave him was to fade into political obscurity and, starting with his subsequent vice presidency up to now he has pretty much done exactly that, once the Murphy Brown thing blew over and its attendant night show comic routines faded of course.

Politics is a rough and dirty game. Someones bound to get hurt.
