Dangerous U47
I've just returned from my 2nd patrol as captain of U47.
I have sunk 4 ships in each patrol, bringing my total war tonnage to a decent 37,747 tons. After my 2nd patrol, I was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd class. Here's hoping things continue going well for captain and crew of U47 :yep: Edit: I neglected to mention, that on my trip home through the English channel, going past Calais, I must have dove a tad too deep. I scraped U-47 along the seabed and caused "heavy flooding" as my chief described. I got the flooding stopped after surfacing, but, I fail to see also how my scraping on the seabed could cause the descruction of my deckgun, attack scope, obs scope, and radio antenna all in one. lol  |
Underwater obstacles.
Maybe you smacked into a wreck. :-j Or a giant squid attack. Could be any number of things, really |

I've been struck there too. Had to cancel my patrol and head back to base without reaching the patrol area. |
Sounds like a mine - for me, mines always destroy the radio room - that room goes red (often along with the crew) and floods, and the conning tower gets the rest of it. That's because the boat bulges at about radio room, so that's where you tend to brush a mine and set it off. Let me guess - you came out of time compression to find yourself digging into the seabed? 2019's right - there's a strip of mines just west of Calais - there a little blue dip in the seabed - perfect sub hiding place, and it's mined.
