New guy saying hi and a couple questions

Hi all, new to DW...wanted to drop in and say hi. :)

Couple questions, too.

1. Do low-frequency lines always show on the NB sonar? Seems to me like they don't, and I changed the gamma setting in the .ini file to 0.5...

2. I'm planning to order the manual, but is the delivery time really 4-6 weeks via US Postal?

Thanks for your answers. :)

I'm not sure I understand your question, but for contacts that emit discrete frequencies (exceptions would be biologics and passive decoys in the stock game and [I think] missiles in the modded game), the signal that is detectable from the longest range will be its lowest frequency line.

Hi mate, welcome to this fantastic adrenalin trip called DW :)
What do your exactly mean by: 'always show in Narrowband' ?

Keep in mind only your Towed Array is capable of picking up signals under about 100hz... the hull array is good for about 100-600hz, and your sphere array is for higher frequency narrowband contacts at about 800-2000hz.

Depends on range and SSP.

Thanks for the help, gents...I had forgotten that different sonar suites? units? platforms? read input from different frequencies.

Yep, I was never a Squid. :)

Again, thanks for the help. :)
